Scripture: Mark 13:3-13

Listen to the sermon

The Dictionary says persevere: To persist in or remain constant to a purpose, idea, or task in spite of obstacles.  Life today is certainly full of obstacles, problems and lots of uncertainties.  A lot of people are dealing with lost jobs, financial problems, homes being lost, illnesses, family problems and all kinds of social and moral problems.  Today's economic situation is causing all kinds of chaos that is destroying the very fabric of our country, our families and our finances.

Jesus says if we will persevere we will win the crown of glory.  When we learn to be over comers He will turn defeat into victory.  The way to victory is to not give up  but to persist.  To stay anchored to Jesus who will see us through.  He will provide the strength to withstand the forces that come against us.  Jesus will provide the final victory.
